The Elcotel Komet is an Elcotel-based Western Electric payphone consisting of an Elcotel 5501 circuit board and 22B coin mech. This particular version was originally built for the Chilean market and thus has Chilean coin values marked on the faceplate. We have a limited number of these phones in new condition being sold as a close-out item. Any U.S.-based orders for this phone will have the proper U.S. operational software and U.S. 22B coin mech installed, but the faceplate markings will remain the same.

Please note that technical support is not guaranteed for this phone so if you are not familiar with Elcotel 5501 or Western Electric products, we do not recommend this phone.

A new 6V battery will be included with each phone.

Programming is not included with this phone so you must have Elcotel PNM+ software to program these phones.
