A pedestal mast is used when running an over-head line to an outdoor payphone. The mast is secured to the top of the pedestal with supplied bolts. Its height and hollow construction protects the telephone cable from potential vandals. The pedestal mast also serves as an ideal fixture to attach a phone sign to and provides added visibility for the payphone.
